3 REASONS TO SAY YES TO A TWO PIECE WEDDING DRESS
Think you should say YES to a two piece wedding dress? Here are our three most compelling reasons to say "I do" to two.
Reason 1. We love that separates don't mean you can't go classic. Sure, they can easily be modern, with changeable skirts from ceremony to reception. Perhaps you're a little daring and want to show off a toned midriff. On the other hand, maybe you want a traditional volume skirt and a loose fitting upper. It's easy to mix looks. But we love that they can just as easily give you a classic, yet traditional elegant look.
Reason 2. Mix and Match. Not only can you mix and match color, but you can mix and match fabric and texture for days. Try not to over exert yourself though. You don't want to find yourself passed out in a pile of tulle and satin wondering what day it is. Want a different look from ceremony to reception? Easy! Want to change up your style a bit after the ceremony for photos? Easy! Want to do something slightly different for a first look Easy! Separates are made to be blissfully easy to change. You can handle extreme temperature changes with ease if you need to.
Reason 3. Comfort. As wedding photographer's we spend almost the entire day with the bride. We've lost count of the number of brides who have looked absolutely stunning. A common problem we've noticed are bride's tugging on their dresses to keep them up AND to pull them down. We've seen brides who are uncomfortable, brides who can't sit down, and brides who are exhausted from the weight of the dress by the time we get to the ceremony. We can honestly say that the struggle for every bride is incredibly too real. What we we've started to see though the 2016 wedding season is that brides who opted for a 2-piece dress were not having these issues. The dresses fit better and are lighter in weight. Brides could move more freely in them: no bunching, no sagging and, easy to move. These features show that a 2 piece gown wins all around. Feeling both pretty and comfortable on your wedding day will ensure that you have a GREAT day.
Photographer's shoot notes: We had so much fun roaming downtown Pittsburgh with this gorgeous 2-piece wedding dress from Lace & Liberty. If you're thinking of a day after photo shoot in your wedding dress... we think that is a great idea. With time not being an issue and everything feeling a bit more casual, you can really let your hair down and have a fun without worrying about your guests. And what's better than getting to wear the dress of your dreams...twice!
