Walking down Main Street in a town, neighborhood, or city has a special magic. Slowing down, visiting with people on the sidewalk, long lunches, a glass of wine, a cup of tea, or a latte on an early morning gives us a chance to actually connect with shop owners, makers, and baristas. Learning about their craft and peeking into what gives them pride of place is one of the great joys of being the editor of this magazine.
It is my mission to share that experience with you, to give you a chance to meet the dynamic entrepreneurs that are bringing store fronts back to Main Streets all over the Rust Belt. I want to make that first connection for you, giving you a peek into these businesses, shops and restaurants. I'm going to introduce you to the people that are making wonderful things happen.
Hopefully I'll bump into you soon on one of the great Main Streets in the Rust Belt.
